Nanocomposites Produced with the Addition of Carbon Nanotubes Dispersed on the Surface of Cement Particles Using Different Non-Aqueous Media

The inclusion of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in cementitious composites has been studied due to their electrical, thermal, and mechanical enhancing properties. Considering the hydrophobic characteristics CNTs, these nanomaterials need be well dispersed aqueous media which they are inserted guarantee those gains. Among methods applied produce such is dispersion CNTs on surface anhydrous cement particles using non-aqueous suspensions as acetone, ethanol, or isopropanol. Even though have individually by researchers, comparisons efficiency was not found literature. Therefore, a novelty, present article aims analyze influence addition multi-walled cited three types paste’s electrical Pastes containing 0%, 0.5%, 1.0% were prepared pre-dispersion technique based simultaneous sonication agitation media. Tests determine electric-volumetric resistivity, compressive strength, splitting tensile strength performed.
